  • iPhone mount recommendations?

    Hi guys

Is anyone using any iPhone mounts in their Tig that they are particularly impressed with? I'd love some sort of cradle that clips onto the centre console, near where the passengers knee would be - down low and out of the way, and would allow it to be plugged into the USB port without a cable running all over the place. Looks like most people are probably using magnetic ones that clip into an air vent.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

      Hold My Phone.

Used them in my other cars, great but costly as you need to buy piece for car and a piece for your specific phone.

Chuck it in the glovebox or centre console. Isn’t it illegal to touch a phone while driving, even if it’s in a cradle?
        Cheers

With CarPlay I find all the functions available to me via voice without touching the phone, it them goes in the same spot as the USB port using a short cable so it's neat and tidy. My opinion "if you're doing stuff that is not in Carplay while driving you're being illegal so ditch the mount."

I have one of the ClicOn/Brodit mounts from Holdmyphone.com.au which are great but expensive. I have always liked these as I hate having to muck around with finding and plugging in the cable for my phone when I get in and out of the car (which I do lots each day) it is much easier to just drop it in the cradle.

Have a look at the following post where I put up some photos of mine installed in the car:
