If you've got a few spare dollars you could always try building one.

About as close as it will ever get to existing..

As the new Toureg has according to the official VW email I received this morning. I found the 100K asking a bit of a hurdle though and the missus found it a bigger one when I asked her opinion. Sigh, such is life.

And there you have it. I wonder if VW have missed the boat with it, considering talk of the Mk3 has already started.

Yeah, seems odd that it's biggest selling model globally doesn't have a hero performance model - did they think one would not be wanted?

Also, does anyone know what gearbox they would use instead of the DQ500?
A manual transmission will not be an option with the powerful Tiguan, which will come standard with a revised version of the Volkswagen Group's seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

It’s most likely only VW Australia thing and the manual is probably available in other markets.
Soon we’ll be getting only one colour, one engine as well, so it’s nice and easy and minimum work when ordering.
It must be a very hard work to push the pen on paper and typing the keyboard.

You already have a Tiguan R buddy, or should I say a Tiguan R++

Haha, indeed. Deciding whether to wait on upgrading my muffler with the one this has, or buy something aftermarket.

DQ500 is out of the RS3 and will be strong enough.

I still think that they should be putting in the RS3 engine in an R version.

That'd be called an RSQ3. The reason they won't put the 5 pot engine into a VW is that then there's no reason to pay the extra $30-40k and buy the Audi.

They needed a beefier version than the R engine, if the T-Roc is getting that engine.
It would be better to get something more powerful for the extra weight of the Tiguan - especially the Allspace
