I have decided to go with a detailer and have Pomponazzi 880XX. They will also do the interiors, glass, and wheels for the same price as what the dealer quoted me for. Thanks guys for all the help.

Sounded like she was reading from a script with no idea of what she was actually saying.. She ended the speel by saying if she had bough this car she would not hesitate in doing the protection.... I was laughing so hard... The Amarok guy didn't get do with this BS and lady got quite mad, she must get a commission of each one she convinces people to get.

The accessories lady did not get a chance to give me the same speech as I told the salesmen who I did the deal with that part of me signing the contract was that I would not have to get the speech....
That’s hilarious! The lady even asked me what was the reason I changed my mind. I was brutally honest about it but she was adamant to continue with her speech. I then had to shut her off and said that I don’t want to waste her time so I’m just gonna say stop trying to convince me cuz my mind is really already made up! It ended when I said to just remove it from the contract and I’ll be happy! She said alright just let me know if you ever change your mind. I know they are only doing their job, but they are still annoying AF when they try too hard to convince you.

I bought a "new to me" vehicle recently and knew what I'd be up for in terms of paint correction and detail clean etc. when my talk came I started by saying I couldn't wait to get it home to start detailing, telling her it was more than a hobby, it was an addiction and there was no way anyone was going to deprive me of the fun to come.
She said.. "Oh! Enjoy the car then"

I can barely cope with what I have... although...
The Pomp is by far the better way to go, you'll never regret it.

I watched a vid yesterday from a UK detailing shop. Interesting that he said he decontaminates coated vehicles every 2 to 6 months depending upon beading loss. Impressive to see iron remover almost completely restore beading after a 5-10 min dwell and pressure wash.

Heheheh some of these made me giggle. Haven't heard the term Ming Mole in a while.

I look at it this way. Having some type of protection is better than none at all, and people pay to have the convenience of the dealership doing it.

I had my doubts about some of the stuff until I saw it started working. The product offered where I work has a life warranty attached to it with no obligation to have the car inspected.. At all.. I purchased it to go on my new car........ When it arrives lol.

Granted yes, your local detailer will have a more thorough attention to detail. I look at it from a different angle. There needs to be a certain amount of attention on your duco from dealerships to get the glue etc off the car. We go through clay bars like it's going out of fashion.
