Was a lot louder but a nice sound. Lots more induction and exhaust noise during hard acceleration, even in normal mode can hear the dsg farts now, cruising at 100km/hr same noise as stock system which I like.
Got an check engine light driving this morning which is caused by the O2 Sensor and new high flow CAT, coding fix will fix this which will get done tomorrow. From the picture of the dump front pipe hangers you can see the end of the hangers are close to the frame, it vibrates slightly at low rpm so getting that sorted on the weekend, other than that really happy with the stage 2.....
Discussed IS38 swap yesterday, supply (new), install, retune will be around 3.5k with the current mods I already have and will see somewhere near 230-240kw@4 wheels. With a larger than IS38 turbo will need intercooler, fuel pump, plugs, coils upgrade..
I’ve got a little vibration also at low rpm on startup, when I switch to D it does seem to go away. My CEL for 02 sensor has been coded out by the tune. Plenty of exhaust, dsg farts, pops and bangs, induction and craziness in S and Manual mode with ESC on sport and DCC on sport.
That price for the IS38 installed and tune sounds competitive! How many hours did they quote on the labour? My DP, turbo swap and change to colder NGK racing spark plugs was around 5 hours. I’d love someone to go Big Turbo on a Tig, it would be insane........
VW Tiguan 162 TSI Highline w/ R-Line & DAP. Mods: OEM IS38 turbo, APR IS38 98 RON ECU tune, TVS Stage 2 + with custom TCU tune, APR Downpipe and resonator delete, APR turbo inlet, VWR turbo muffler delete, APR pendulum mount, APR dog bone insert, APR Open Pod Filter (MQB), RAMAIR intake tube, APR Red Ignition Coils, NGK R7437-9 Spark Plugs, DBA T3 slotted rotors front and T2 slotted rotors rear, ATE ceramic pads front and rear Vbox: 0-100 4.1s

You got CTS downpipe?
Price for IS38 was combined, didnt get hours for each part....

I’ve got the APR MQB AWD downpipe which also removes the resonator and bolts onto the factory muffler. I did that at the same time as the IS38, because they had to remove the stock DP to unbolt the IS20.

Hay man, car is looking super
I have a similar setup + a few mods, I'm making great power but haven't messed around with the exhaust too much only the DP at the moment but not loving the sound, i see you have made some exhaust changes and was wondering what the best setup is

Noice...
Got a pic of your car on the H&R lowering kit?
If you go a custom tune with your current setup you will have more power and better power delivery, JB4 can only do so much.
The difference from stock with the downpipe on mine is huge, sounds really good without being too boy racer loud

I can’t remember what you’ve down to your exhaust but are you just running the CTS kit and stock muffler? And there’s a good bit of noise increase now?
Fixed the rubbing downpipe issue, no rubbing at all now.
Loosened the vband on the turbo outlet, removed the rear section of the exhaust, rotated dump to get more clearance as dump was slightly touching hanger bracket also, put a piece of timber between hanger bracket and subframe, tightened vband, removed timber and put rest of exhaust back together.
To make sure no rubbing in the future also cut a couple of mm off the end of the metal hangers... I would say the CTS MK7 R dump pipe fits 98% to the Tig.
Took the car to a family friends shop to have the wheel alignment checked.
Toe was adjusted slightly, camber is not adjustable, left camber slightly off from factory... Overall camber is negative 34 degrees so nothing to worry about, but surprised left camber is out from factory.
A couple of nice cars at the workshop, all my friends, he's brothers and dad's, plenty more in their collection stored elsewhere. Looks like the abandoned cars pics from the middle east you see, says they have no time to drive or even start them... I wish I had those problems...
So this happened this morning.. Turned straight into me trying to change lanes without looking.
Got out of the car asking WTF to the other driver, he was an older guy and kept saying sorry sorry sorry so I calmed down... Brand new Kia Picanto hit me!!!
Going into panel shop this Thursday to get fixed...
Damn, by the sounds of things you kept your cool. Credit to you. I just got a quote back for someone opening there door into my left rear... $1500 just for my little dint.
