The use we have planned for the car makes a real spare, rather than a "get you home", very desirable. The underfloor cavity is quite large, and a rough measurement makes me think that the full sized 235/40/19 wheel tyre combination will just fit. Has anyone done this?. Does it fit easily or are mods required? I know that the subwoofer will probably need an extension lead.

Spare tyre on the T-Roc R

This is a topic that comes up often in the UK based T-Roc forum ( https://www.trocforums.co.uk/ ).
My understanding is that the spare tyre recess in the boot is capable of holding a full size spare tyre, particularly the 18" spare. As for the subwoofer, I can't recall much discussion on that, it appears to not be as common on their vehicles as we have. See this post - https://www.trocforums.co.uk/threads...775#post-49775
I would recommend you have a look over at Trocforums, friendly bunch over there with some helpful posts. There is a few Aussie members which are active.Last edited by Flipper Dog; 06-01-2026, 06:50 PM.Flipper Dog

Thanks just had a look over their site. A bloke who has fitted a smaller wheel with a 215 width tyre has his floor raised by about 5mm, so it looks like I'd be looking at around 25mm. Probably still acceptable, so I guess I'd best pull a wheel off and see how it goes.Last edited by jb747; 07-01-2026, 08:09 AM.MY08 R32, DSG, Sunroof, RNS510
