Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    T Roc R - resonator delete

    Anyone else thinks the T roc R needs more noise?

    I installed the anti drone resonator delete, not significantly different with a res. Definitely more burbles and sound, and no drone. Happy with this mod!

    Only downside I seem to have is at WOT, only in R mode, a rasp/whistle at the top end of the rpm. All other modes doesn't have this.

    Anyone else done a res delete? I feel like the stock system just needs a bit more noise..

    If there’s any rasp I’m not interested, rasp in a system sounds crap!

      I have only had my T Roc R for a couple of weeks and yep, the soundtrack is pretty dull. I came from a 2021 Focus ST and that had a bit more atmosphere to it, especially cold start up in the garage. Shame they aren't offering the Akropovic any more,
      Back in the VW world with a 2023 T Roc R, Silver with black roof.

        Very little change from just a resonator delete. I have Miltek cat back (the non race version) and it is pretty good. Could be too quiet for some still, but for fast and noise I drive my Golf R, for fast and serenity, we drive the T-Roc R ...
