  • strange start up in the mornings (cold start)

since day 1 after picking up my new T-roc (only had 25km's on the clock, and ~1200km now) i've noticed something strange during a cold start (not sure if this is normal).

it starts up ok... high revs and then just before it goes down to normal... its like it does 4 adjustments up and down (rev needle doesn't move) but i can hear the engine rpm or something going up and down about 4 times.... before going down. is this some sort of cold start cycle ??? doesn't do it when engine is already warm.

Sounds like minor cold start surging. Has been a "feature" of every VW and Audi I've experienced that has this engine (EA88.
    Cheers

that's the word i was looking for "surging" thanks mate, yep it definitely seems like a small surge. so this is normal, nothing to worry about?
