Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

In todays Courier Mail is an article that says there are 1900 new cars infected by Stink Bugs in Brisbane and are having to be deloused therefore holding up delivery. Could be weeks before they are done. Also 7 ships are waiting off shore Doesnt say if they are Car carriers though

Yeah, well over 150 VWs amongst that I have heard. Hopefully my T-Roc will get through relatively quickly, it was only delayed at the shipping port for about a week and a half before shipping.

Incidentally, I have Suzuki Jimny in quarantine in Melbourne at the port. It's now well overdue delivery date wise but at least it's finally on Australian soil.
Further to Melbourne, I read yesterday that they are offloading 3000 cars a day, but only clearing them through quarantine at 9 cars per hour ...

        Another update article…..
New-car delivery delays are expected to get worse before they get better, as more than 60,000 vehicles are stranded offshore or in a backlog awaiting quarantine clearance at ports around Australia.

After 2 weeks waiting outside Port Kembla, Hoegh Traveller finally docked yesterday. Should be on its way to Brisbane late today/tomorrow, which means 2 weeks extra before I get
