TSI Amarok is now available for sale in South Africa. They are RHD just like Australia .... Trendline DC only atm.

118kw/300NM TSI DC is a full 1 second quicker 0-100km/h than the BiTDI DC.

APR should be able to bump that up nicely!

Interesting, sounds like the valve lift TSI engine which gets 155kw in some engines.

TSI Amarok is now available at VW dealers. I sat in 1 on Saturday.

Only available in base model and only with RWD and thankfully manual only.

Engine looks exactly like all the other 2.0 TSI engines ..... down to the plastic intake manifold and coil packs ..... Pricing from $32K + ORC.

I am now very close to ordering a TSI Amarok. Just finalising pricing on my (extensive) options list and getting quotes from a number of dealers ....

2 questions I do have, all dealers who have driven yet says it goes really well (which is to be expected talking to salespeople), has anybody driven 1 yet? And secondly, anybody here who owns a Trendline who put an aftermarket front bar on?

I do want a 2013 build, so when would be appropriate to place my order?

If you want a 2013 "build" you'll have to order in 2013; if you want a 2013 model year, you can factory order it now or if you are flexible on colors & options the first ones will be at dealerships end of November.
Or you could just snap-up a great deal on the current drive-away campaign
