Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • 2L TDI Engine Number Location

    Hi All,

This may sound like a basic question but just bought an older single cab 2L TDI from out of state and had it shipped to me.

Looking for the engine number location so I can verify all info.

Never had an Amarok so have no idea where to look.

Would appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction

    Thanks,
    Oz

The engine number on the Amarok is usually located on the side or top of the engine block. Sometimes it can be found on a metal plate attach to the engine block. If you can't find it on the engine block, you can try checking the vehicle registration or the owner's manual.
