2012 amarok ABS/ESP issues

Hi all,

Anyone encountered the issue on a 2012 amarok 4X4 manual.

ABS/traction light stays on.

I’ve attached a photo of the codes that are not going away.

-I have reseated the electrical plug on the ABS module. No success with DTC erasure.

-have not checked each wheel speed sensor yet.

-have not checked ABS/traction system fuses yet.





It is saying electrical fault within ABS hydraulic unit[emoji3544]

I’m thinking internal electrical failure of a system or sensor within the ABS module.

Hoping to avoid the $650 replacement of the unit and coding. [emoji28]

Get one from a wrecker. Make sure you take a copy of your current ABS long coding string as the VIN is encoded into it as well as a bunch of settings.

So it does have to be coded by an auto electrician with the Scantool?

Yes with suitable diagnostics tools like vcds, obd11 etc

Do you know of any workshops who overhaul these ABS units?
