  • Help needed please, replacing injectors and HPFP

    Hello,
Looking for help with 2011 Amarok TDI
Have to replace injectors and high pressure fuel pump. Have parts here, asking for best way to replace the parts and manually prime the fuel pump.
    Thank you

I believe you need VCDS software to prime the pump - you might be able to physically replace the injectors and pump yourself but may need to take it to a VW specialist for the pump priming component.

Hi Lucas thanks for the reply.
We live about 900km from the nearest VW place. Is it possible to drive the car to the dealership after replacing the parts?
      Thank you

If you google Erwin and vw. Create an account. For 7 euros you can download manual for an hour in pdf format.
The thing with injectors is that i think you need to tell the ecu something so it can control them accurately.

          Hi Lousickmj,

A bit late to the thread, however, out of curiosity was this a HPP failure? Is it a CR/CP4.2 model? I am led to believe these pumps need to be timed.

          What was the final result?

          Thanks,

I think you might struggle for a repose mate as he was last on line 2019, stranger things have happened though...
