LED lights on roll bar

I've just picked up a 2014 Ultimate. It has LED lights on the roll bar to light up the rear, the button is on the dash next to the Parking button, but can't see the lights come on. Does the car need to be stopped/off, ignition on/off?

Did you try the button while you have the ignition on/motor running and you are in reverse gear?

no. Are they for reversing??

Morning all. I went down the custom path. Put 2 clamp type light mounts on the bar and 2 small lights shining down into the tub. Bought a loom off Peter Jones and put a switch on the dash above the stereo.
