  • Today I discovered...

I'm sure there was a similar thread but a search failed to find it. Maybe back in the MK6 days?

So today the low fuel warning light comes onto the MFD saying that I have xxkms fuel until empty. Simultaneously another message appears on the MIB screen asking if I would like to fill up with fuel and to select a petrol station. Once selected the sat nav kicks into gear and plots the route.

    How smart are these cars?

Today I discovered that if I wind down the window to say goodbye in the morning while simultaneously clearing the dew off the windscreen via windscreen wiper, I am rewarded with about a cup full of water falling into the car and the electric window switches!

I'm but I also experienced the Nav-to-fuel feature today which was nice.

Best tip I learned on filling up is the fuel gauge always has an arrow indicating which side to fill up on. Admittedly not that useful on your own car but fantastic when driving a rental...

Bigbob: Hi - quick way to remember which side to fill-up on: the filler spout is always on the same side as the fuel tank shown on the instrument panel.!!

Sorry this has been done to death on other car forums and it doesn't matter a rats clacker what side the gauge is on the instrument panel has no bearing at all to which side you fill the vehicle on....I have a vehicle that disproves the theory and when I put it out there it was more the case of not than often
