Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I was also hoping that would be standard and was one of the first things I checked [emoji846].I love the tartan too! Really supportive seats.
I didn't opt for the infotainment pack either. No complaints about the sound system or the infotainment system. But hey, I don't know what I'm missing [emoji846].

A great story on how the original GTI came to be ...
The GTI - Everything You Need To Know | Up To Speed | Donut Media - YouTube2017 - Golf R 7.5 - Blue - DSG - Proper Roof - DAP - Res' delete - Dynaudio delete
2008 - Mazda 2 - (Maybe my first child scared me a bit) -1998 - Wrx (modded up to but not including forged pistons)
1988 - Corolla TwinCam - (couldn't insure a 323 Turbo)
1967 - Tonka Tip Truck - Red with 2 inch plastic rims and a massive sand scoop.

The performance range is now shown on the VW Australia website. No info on the Wolfsburg edition R that I could find though.
Looking at the specifications it says the R comes with Lapiz Blue as opposed to the Atlantic Blue on the regular Golf range. I thought the R I saw in the showroom was Atlantic Blue and not Lapiz Blue, either way it looked awesome!

Just read that the R doesn't have fog lights, prob due to the increased air intake. Will miss the fog lights.
Also the MK7 never had them as well. Never noticed this before.
