Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Looking at those Photo's posted I like everything about it. The rims look nice and I like the tail lights. I can say after a month in FL s3 the drive is definitely improved both throttle response and transmission. Which should be same in the 7.5R.
IMO the biggest floors in MK7 was the screen and the pedal lag an stock DSG modes. The 7.5 will have fixed those so you all should be very happy in 7.5R. The virtual cockpit is very nice and heated seat nice touch on cold mornings.

Hey Kachingg,
Out of curiosity what did you end up paying once they gave you the driveway discount bonus?
Was it basically the price the VW website spits out?
I've been trying to get it applied to my order from about 8 weeks ago and not having any luck yet.MY7.5 Golf Alltrack 135tsi Premium - Indium Grey - Infotainment, DAP & Sport Luxury Packages

I've been trying to get it applied to my order from about 8 weeks ago and not having any luck yet.
but i needed the car before august so had to pay. If i ordered now and was willing to wait and not be fussy about options and colour(had to be red and fully loaded) could have saved a few k off but cant wait till sep-dec
To get the discount i emailed my dealer on last Friday (does not hurt i went in 2 weeks before and showed them the car advice website with the that day released discount pricing before they knew about it)I linked the car advice website in the email and said ok 2k off no excuses and im going to be hardball about it cause you can't tell me that you will not be claiming the discount back from vw central for yourself(that is pretty much word for word what i sent)
Got a email back 9am sat morning saying you know your stuff the discount is $1980 but we will round it up to 2k for you
So hit your dealer up again and don't take no for a answer cause he is lining his own pockets at your expense
The only cars that do not have it is the gti/r so if you ordered one of those im sorry your out of luck any other golf/alltrack is eligible tho
Good luckLast edited by Kachingg; 25-07-2017, 06:28 PM.2017 Golf Alltrack 135tdi All options

Mk7.5 Golf - News and Discussion Thread
VW site is updated with performance models launch countdown. Volkswagen Australia. I've heard that there are a number of GTIs already in the country but deliveries won't happen until after official launch.
BTW, has anyone seen the new golfs on road? I'm yet to come across any. Makes me wonder if any MK7.5 deliveries have commenced.

As per VW website, both GTI and R seem to have "How you drive is up to you, with Driving Profile selection, individualism is taken to a new level with the Golf's personalisation function, which allows you to set your preferred driver settings directly to your key. "
Does anyone know what "personalisation on key" feature is? I don't think it's memory seat as it is optional with Luxury Pack.

If it's like other personalisation keys, it remembers preferred settings such as radio stations, driving modes etc. I assume it would extend to your preferred active info display settings if you have that ordered as well. I was told that the 2 keys can be configured for different driver preferences - just don't borrow your wife's key!Indium Grey Golf 7.5 Alltrack 135tdi Premium - all options

oh sheet... its happening.
So looks like its confirmed that the R and GTI will have the double DRL for each headlight with this stated on their site?
"Good looks have been enhanced thanks to new exterior styling, impressive dual LED daytime driving lights and distinct LED rear taillights."

Hi guys,
Just visited my dealer to check out the R and I can confirm Double DRL on the front and double LED on the back (when lights are on).
I have fallen in love with the car, the new Discover Pro 9.2 " screen and the electronic dash look amazing!

Good luck tomorrow. Look forward to the feedback.
How does the yellow look in real life by the way? I see one there beside the blue in the backgound of your photos. I thought it might be "the" colour in them based on photos to date, but it can be very deceptive in real life a colour like yellow, if not done well. Done well, I think it can be amazing (like MB and Renault have done), but generally it is not.
