  • What are your Individual DCC Settings & why?

    [Standard, stock GTI, manual]

I've settled on the below Individual settings...

    DCC: Comfort
    Steering: Sport
    Engine: Sport
    Dynamic Cornering Lighting: Sport
    Air-conditioning: Normal
    Interior Engine Sound: Eco

I like a bit of the floaty feel in the suspension, whilst keeping the responsiveness/feedback of the Sport mode & shutting down of the Soundaktor noise.

Everything sport, except for soundaktor. I use it instead of race mode, and lets me hear the turbo, exhaust, etc

My car has a drinking problem and spends a lot of time in the daily commute so I have the following:

      DCC: Comfort
      Steering: Comfort
      Engine: Eco
      Lighting: Normal
      A/C: Eco
      Sound: Eco

I rarely use Comfort or Normal mode and if I want to be more involved, I just flip it straight to Race and nail the loud pedal!

Felt like I was in sync with the car more than ever today.

May've had something to do with changing all my 'Individual' DCC settings to "Sport" (bar Interior engine noise - Eco).

        Fun!

          DCC - Sport
          Steering - Normal
          Engine - Sport
          A/C - Normal
          Soundaktor - off

I like the rebound rate on sport, but sometimes after a hard day in the office, I turn everything to comfort mode.
Steering on the sport feels a too heavy

I agree with these settings and that statement. Do we know what Engine = Sport actually changes? Just throttle response?

In the R it also opens the exhaust flaps, activating all four exits.

I have a 2014 R. Mine hasn't got the option to change interior Sound. How come?

I think this option only became available on 2016 models. Or it may just be on newer MIB II units. Someone else can confirm.

If you don't have the option in the system, an OBDeleven will fix it for you

If you don't like the soundaktor, and have an older car, just unplug it. I had mine unplugged for about a year. Just hooked it up again last week. Hasn't gotten on my nerves yet but it will.

i believe it is a function of the MIB II units
