Dynaudio is worth waiting for just adds icing to the cake for the 90% of the time when you're using the R as a daily driver it's worth it, fantastic sound particularly now with streaming audio. Also interesting how good the economy is on the R7.5 DSG over the R7 DSG I'm averaging 7.2L/100km mainly extra urban, how are owners finding the R7.5 manual? City and short trips see the R as thirsty as before I wouldn't recommend it if your doing more than 50% city daily work probably better go for a GTI2017 MY18 Golf R Wolfsburg | Oryx White | DSG / 2021 MY21 T-Cross Style | S+V Package | Limestone Grey

Bigger discounts available on R's. When I was getting quotes a couple of months ago through my fleet provider it was looking like a fully optioned R was sitting around 60k.
They weren't willing to budge on the RRP of the Wolfsburg's at all, which were mid/high 60's.
Stock of the hatchbacks (with our without sunroof) is pretty woeful so I doubt that position has changed. The wagons might be a different story though.

Thats the dilemma im in.
Buy a 2017 built Wolfsburg today for $64K off the lot, $67K already on a boat, in a colour i dont care for.
or wait and get a 2018 built high spec R, in a colour i want, for as you say, around $60K.
Is there much difference in resale, in buying a MY2018 Wolfsburg, even if its built in 2017 Vs 2018 (if at all possible)?

Only thing that would now push me to a Wolfie is the wheels. If you can live with the ones on the regular R then I'd get it. I personally can't stand them and really like the Prets. But that's just me. I do very much like Indium grey though...Looking for:- RS4 B7 Avant.

hoping someone can help me..I am trying to get insurance quote for wolf wagon 7.5 and most of the providers dont have that listed and unable to offer cover. Only quote I could get was through AAMI!
Which company are you using for 7.5 Wolf Wagon?

I haven't done any official weigh ins and coming by the data seems a lot harder than it should be, but I'd guess the Spielberg's would be similar to Cadiz around 11.2-11.3kg, while the Prets may come in around 9.3kg. Assuming that's around the mark that is a substantial benefit there.
I'm still seeing the claim in here that you can't get a Wolfsburg with any meaningful discount which is false.
If you can't get the discount then it's a borderline proposition (discounted R v full price Wolf) depending on your own valuation of Prets, Dynaudio and decent leather - but compare well at least red apples with green apples (the discounts aren't quite as sweet) and it's no contest.
