To be honest this is what I am expecting for my Wolfsburg. I have been told December but expect it march.

If the dealers aren't lying there is one in Queensland and one in Tasmania for sale at the moment. Both white wagons no sunroof

Yeh I'm told December for a Jan pick up but super nervous! Specially when you hear this happen.

Yes have seen those. I think cars with sunroofs are delayed from what I can see.

Being strung along til that date and then to be told of a delay would annoy the hell out of me. I don’t have patience for that kind of dealing.

What you going to do? Stick with it? It will still be 17 build. If you wait another month then you can have an 18 build.
Really stupid how VW Aus can sell a car but not guarantee stock levels or delivery times!

I think I’m done. I may cancel and just keep what I have a little longer unless something else comes along and it’s available immediately. Been on this since June so I’ve exhausted all options I think.

Build delays due to component shortages are nothing new for VAG (Volkswagen Audi Group) vehicles, it has been happening for many years, and electrical stuff like infotainment/nav systems. active dashboards often seem to be the problem. IRRC the delays got up to 6 months+ at one stage for certain vehicles some years ago.

What about the standard R, or you dead set on the Wolfsburg?

The delays only really seem to be for the Wolfsburg edition according to my dealer

I've asked for my order to be swapped with a car in the country if it is delayed more than December. So a wagon with no sunroof
