  • Good thing is that new traffic assist is just a software change. All the hardware that's doing all the work is already in my car. Will be getting that done for sure.

    • Hi Everyone,
I'm looking to track my car, but the website ATT Login doesn't have the cargo ID field anymore.
I tried putting my VIN into each field but all return no record found.

I'm going to reach out to VW AU next but wanted to see if anyone else had another idea.

edit: Just looking at my VIN and it doesn't look quite right to me. WVWZZZAUZJW******. It's the 7th and 8th digit that looks wrong. This is the vehicle descriptor. Can anyone share what their R/Wolfie's 7th and 8th digit is?

      • Mine begins exactly the same as yours. All good. Check here Volkswagen GOLF VIN Decoder - Lookup and check Volkswagen GOLF VIN number and get options and specs for free. Search Volkswagen GOLF history, price and car loans.

        • I got the word that my Golf R Wolfsburg Wagon is going to be fitted with a factory tow bar. I have no idea how this works as I was told it was not possible by VAG Australia. Anyway, the dealer assured me it is a factory attachment and has full warranty. No complaints here as that was the potential deal breaker. I enquired after an AMG 45, BMW M235i and M240i and all were NOT Certified for tow bar. all I want to tow are my vintage and classic motorcycles on a lightweight demountable trailer; total weight about 380kg with tow bar weight of 80-90kg. If my old 1995 BMW 323i and 1999 Audi A4 quattro could do it then it should not be an issue in 2018. In the end I have a decent replacement to my V6 Skoda Superb Wagon albeit 4 years before I was considering an update. That is what happens when lightning strikes!

I’m sure it’s possible as there’s no space due to the diffuser.

As i am driving gold coast to Brisbane every day. I most assured say I'll never buy another car which does not have traffic assist. It's pure magic.

                • I prefer self control.. but I can see the appeal for others.

Mostly I just feel sorry for anyone who has to do the GC to Brisbane run each day.

Last time I was in the Gold Coast for a Sunday lunch, the host offered me a glass of wine. I politely declined stating that I was driving back to Brisbane soon. He replied “well you’ll need a bloody drink before you get on that damn road!”

TJA isn’t what’s needed there. It’s twin 50 cal guns up front. And behind for that matter.

Hell yeah! I hate having to drive south on that road. Doesn’t matter what time or day of the week, you can always be assured that any journey will take at least 30mins longer than it should.

Boom 1, 2 and 3. I'm glad as a relative outsider it wasn't just me (although I only do the run every now and then - and not at all after easter as I am heading back south).

I think the only thing that would make it worse is if it was located in Adelaide because then there actually would be people sitting in the back trays of the dualcab numpties brigade with AK47s threatening anyone who dares wants to join their lane.

Actually what am I thinking, SA's anti-car anti-everything government would just turn the two left lanes into a giant bike lane and put a average speed camera trap every 500m along the entire route.

This really has nothing to do with a Wolfsburg anymore.

Only that it’s quite a nice place to sit whilst in traffic [emoji12]

                              • Anyone experience a knocking under the passenger side when braking or when adaptive cruise takes over braking?
