Yep, my my16 R does the same. Got an update from the dealer and it reduced the amount it does it but hasn't stopped. Find it does it most in early morning when sun is low. It's a pain when it starts changing things too.

Mine seems to be really intermittent and I cannot pick it. I have it booked into the dealer Monday week and have actually recorded video on my phone of it happening incase they cannot replicate it. Hopefully there is a complete fix as i am sure there are more out there. Right now I can only use Bluetooth streaming and Aux as any other function has buttons on the screen where the screen thinks someone is touching it. mega annoying when it keeps presetting the same station into the same preset.

Alternate routing & icon rearranging sounds good.

Also, could directions appear in the MFD now?... "Additionally, CarPlay turn-by-turn directions will now be available directly in your instrument cluster in vehicles equipped with a driver-side peripheral screen for a safer driving experience."

Some tweaks to the Music App too.

I too am keen to know if the MFD shows turn-by-turn instructions. Anything is better than the blank "Apple Car Play" text on the MDF.

Could anyone with iOS10 let us know if it works for them? There is the potential that VW might need to update something, but I think it's possible.

Have just had MIB2 unit installed and find that whilst Apple Maps is more accurate in terms of travel time, the built-in Nav has a better interface.

AFAIK - kinda...

I think it requires a trip to a dealer to change the coding to allow a different unit to be installed or the car won't power up the unit.

Then you've got to fit the unit (which I assume is straightforward).

I base this on some quick research about what would be required just to swap out my 6.5" for the larger 8" unit.

Ahh ok cool id consider the 8" as well. It's not a cheap option but the standard MY15 unit is worse then my MK6 display.

Yeah, that was one of the reasons I stretched my budget for a MY16 car. I think Euro Car Upgrades on the Sunny Coast suggested that it's about $450 for the dealer bit.

Plus going to the 8" I think allows you to go the whole hog and fit the DAB+ unit.

Yeah, they quote $399 ex GST for their work and I'm pretty sure the dealer has to do something too for the units to be swapped over.

How much is the actual unit, non 8" ? Is that on Euro Car Upgrades as well.?
