          • Took my new (to me) Wolfsburg wagon down to Thredbo this weekend. A perfect car. Couldn't be happier. Even met a Wolfsburg wagon buddy on the outskirts of Canberra!

A nice step up from my 9N3 Polo GTI!

Did you have to put on snow chains? We're heading up to the snow and the options seem limited for the 235/35/R19...

Heading to the snow this weekend - what to take, Golf R Wagon petrol or Discovery diesel?
The Golf will be more fun around the windey bits and get us there quicker without vomiting, but the Disco has more space for passengers and luggage, and diesel is built for long distance driving. Snow chains and gravel carpark ditches also less likely to be a problem with the Disco. But the heart says take the sportwagon...

Honestly sounds like you've already made your mind up. Take the golf and have fun.....

I got away without them. Your options are very limited. You need the Thule K-summit K33.

The guys sell and hire them. K Summit Snow Chain - Thule - Village Ski & Snowboard
You can confirm the sizing for 235/35R19 here: http://www.villageski.com.au/ksummit.pdf

I'm tempted to buy some steelies with a more chain-compatible profile.

                        • The guy selling it had it fitted at Parkside Towbars in WA, can't recall what it cost him. Was considering it myself but weighing up the amount of times I need to tow vs cost its probably easier and less expensive to borrow family members cars that have towbars!

                            • Love the wrap but I think a nice flat bronze wheel will set it off. Black rims is making the wheels look small.

                              • Hey ladies and gentlemen. This is Aveline. I flew to Melbourne to pick her up and drove her home in March this year. These are some of my favourite photos of her. Last one is part of a set my very talented mate (White Scirocco in second pic) did one night whilst we were out and about.
