  • Lot of talk about dropping boot floor

Any quick instructions on how to do it?

    Comment

    • I worked it out myself, and then looked in the manual & found there's detailed instructions

So have a crack at it, RTFM if you get stuck.

      • Yeah dead simple, no tools needed. Only need somewhere to store the riser pieces for when you want a flat floor again.

        • Just put on this carbon weave look sticker on rear and not happy with it
Very hard to put on without bubbles and ripped it already. At least from afar it looks good. I would love proper Rear Guard thick protector but it so expensive after shipping. I don't like VW's alloy protector.

No, theres no room due to the exhaust.

I thought that the Westfalia one might fit, since the towball comes down underneath the bumper. Plus the mk7 doesn't have the centre muffler like the mk6 R. I'm yet to buy the tow kit but considering it.

This is a deal breaker/maker between this and the new Superb wagon 206 4x4. Not entirely comparable but is a must for my next wagon. Keen to hear your results.

are there many more Mk7 R wagons still available? your decision might already be made...

                      • There appear to be a few still floating around, at least until they bring in another shipment.

I think the comparison between a Superb 206 (and Passat when released) to an R wagon ends at about the same point as say a Jetta 155 and a Golf GTI. Interestingly the load difference is not as great between the two as one might expect either - although I am talking in pure litres and not practical space.

Although it is fair to say the Superb will be a demon sleeper..

$63k - $68k seems to be the range from folks I've spoken to. Check Carsales website, doubt there's more than a couple not yet sold and there's no plans to bring in any more as far as I know.

I'm sure I saw one on the UK forum... Can't find it right now though.
