VW MY16 Changes

I've seen this and was able to get white background logos using a PNG with a transparent background.
But if I make the background black instead I end up with a black background with a large white boarder around the logos not just the white button frame.

Ah yeah, I (somehow!) misunderstood what you were after. I read it too quickly I suppose. I am not aware of anyway to get all black backgrounds. I'm guessing the white background is hard-coded.

I cannot tell if the guy in the video has his engine on or not, but I've turned my infotainment unit off while accessory power is still on plenty of times and have never seen that clock. So it's definitely not there by default. Will have to see if it's in the settings on my car or requires the engine to be on, or both.

Yeah I have found it and turned it on. It was off my default in my unit.

Can cloth be optioned into the MY16 R? I really don't like the VW leather.

So I was going to buy an MY15 Golf R 2 weeks ago but then saw the spec changes to the MY16 car and put a deposit down on one on Saturday. I should get it in a couple of weeks!

Just DSG and leather. No Sunroof.

Edit: Sorry, should mention thats with slimline plates, carpet mats and tint.

I think that is pretty good deal...got mine for $55k manual sunroof and no leather. You could push for 1st servive as well

It comes with mats as standard. You can change these for Golf embossed ones or rubber one.

Factory mats you mean? They're perfectly acceptable for carpet mats - unless you want fancy trimming and embellishments.

Factory mats last a couple of years at best (under heavy use, maybe a year) - I usually put them away in storage and buy aftermarket ones.

When time comes to sell the car, put the factory mats in.
