cooked mine at 7,000ks only cause i tuned it

Well then I must be doing something right. I have been tuned for 60k km and have now been on my is38 setup for 16k km on my 7 gti manual and I am still on the original stock clutch have never had any slip and I drive my car hard. Did 16 launches on one day at the drag strip that was prepped and I was on street tires. So touch wood my car has never had a clutch issue.

Car is making about 260wkw with 535nm

So I fitted the Dogbone insert today. I've only driven about 25km since fitting it but everything feels better connected and the driveline shunting is almost completely gone so it has a much more direct engagement feeling. I'm sure it will improve over time but this, combined with the bleed Block restrictor removal seem to have made a big difference.

Yeah, it took me a couple of months to get to fitting mine. I wish I'd done it sooner. There's no shunting through the driveline at all, particularly when de-clutching on rolling to a stop.

Everything feels properly connected and the plate engagement feeling through the car feels far more positive.

It actually feels like a manly gearboxes sports car should feel.

Skoda RS230/GTI PP with JB4, DP, HPA Puck, intake & pipes with stock wheels 19s. Has 16,000km on it.

Started to slip on the way to dinner tonight at 2500-3000rpm on map1 (+4psi over stock). Did a couple of runs on the motorway to confirm it.
I have a map6 (custom and attached) that has a slow boost curve, which isn't too bad, but it will need replacement.

I've read good things about the South Bend stage 3 on here, but I'm interested in Harding Performance clutch kit as I'm in Brisbane.

DMF or SMF seems to be the major question. Hardings is SMF.

Mate with same car has the Hardings clutch kit and loves it, but after more than 1 opinion.

I'm running the harding performance kit on my stage 2 gti, it has stock like feel with no chatter at idle, but you do get more gearbox noise under load, not enough to be annoying but definitely noticeable over stock. You'd have to expect that on any smf tho...

About 7 months so far. Car still feels great. More noise is only because your removing the Dmf which would be tuned to take out the gear noise/vibrations.

Yea I guess that's a major point of the DMF.
Cool. Ill see what a few other say, but they are local so its a no brainier really. Just need to save my penny's I guess

I've also just installed a new SMF clutch. I went with an Australian made Xtreme HD. It's a great clutch that can easily handle stage 2 power levels but I've also noticed a significant increase in chatter and vibration.

I did some research on ways to improve the vibration and came across a product called Fluidampr which helps to dampen down the extra vibration that a SMF clutch creates, and also generally reduces torsional stresses on the engine which should help long term reliability especially with stage 2 power. I've just ordered one so will give some feedback on this thread once It has arrived and been installed.

I'm actually running one of them too ha. Forgot about it until you mentioned it. Don't expect miracles from it. I didn't have any chatter before I installed it, but I was hoping it would reduce the gear noise. Which it did to a certain extent, but not entirely. In the long term it probably will be better for the longevity tho.

Yea I know it won't be 100% effective, but even a small improvement would be appreciated, and like you say it can't hurt in terms of better longevity etc.

I just order directly form Sach in Germany. Only took a week - They have a new clutch and pressure plate that can easily handle Stage 2 and works with DMF. Beautiful feeling clutch and no noise.
