  • Locking wheel nut key code

    New Mk 7 Comfortline.
I wanted to keep a record of the anti theft wheel bolt code. The Owners Manual refers to this as a "code number", but the only marking visible is a very faint letter "N" on the top of it.
Does this sound like the code?

On a vaguely related note according to the Owners Manual there is supposed to be a collapsible safety triangle stored in that little compartment in the tailgate. Mine is "missing", is this is a case of a global Owners Manual making reference to options and equipment not relevant to Australian delivered cars, or has mine gone walkabout?

Yes the N is the code. Dealers have a master set to remove then but even with the code and you loose the key you have to buy a new key and 4 lock bolts...used to be able to buy just the key but not always possible now. Just keep it safe and make sure its still there after a service or new tyres fitted.

Some do some dont. My Passat does the Polo doesnt. The manual is a worldwide one and lots of thing in there dont pertain to Aussie models.
