Door seals staining paint on Mk 7 Golf

Hi all,

When washing my car last week, I noticed a few black streaks running down the side skirts right where the door seals let water out.

I had to rub really hard for a few minutes on each to remove it. Two days later it's back.

This happens on front and back, both sides.

I recently did the creaky door fix with the 4mm irrigation pipe.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Noticed it and cleaned it. It is, in part the lube from the door hinges and typical on three mk7 Golfs that I have used over the course of a year. Elbow grease will fix it or bug/tar remover. It gets less apparent over time (and car washes)

Yep washed the Polo a few weeks back and was the same. Was from an over enthusiastic apprentice going mad with hinge lube.
Had sprayed it everywhere.
