        • Has anyone taken theirs offroad, namely beach/ dunes? I don't mind the idea of compact car with some offroad ability.

          • According to the latest edition of Wheels, Golf Alltrack sales jumped 45% in September to 126 for the month. Sounds like the 7.5 upgrade and increased model range was a bit of a success for VW.

              • Well, the tyre pressure monitoring came in handy yesterday evening - driving home it flashed up that the right rear had lost pressure. Turned straight into a servo and it was 7psi down on the others and I could see a screw stuck in the tread. Pumped it up to get my the couple of k's home and had it fixed today. My first puncture in well over 10 years...surprised I remembered how to change a tyre

                • Paddle Extensions

Hi, Does anybody know where I can get, and what are the correct paddle extensions for my new Golf Alltrack? currently on the ship in Fremantle so won't be long now

                  • Added some new 19 inch rims with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 235 40 19. Overall about 9mm larger than the standard 18 inch 45 series tyres, speedo is pretty much the same, maybe 1/2 to 1 kmh out . Handling and braking is so much better on bitumen wet and dry on. They are pretty good on dirt and sand as well but not game to get in loose sand.

I spent a lot of time researching the best offset and tyre size to suit my needs. If it helps anyone the standard 18" Kalamata rims are 7.5" and 45 offset. This website is a great reference tool Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets - Wheel-Size.com

They are not the current ones with the wide paddle like the mark 7 gti they are smaller and more rounded the ones you attach with double sided tape do not fit nor do the pinalloy ones which use small screws top and bottom to attach

I love changing with the paddles but they are 2 small to be easy to use Harding performance has a replacement anodized aluminum set but i don't know if they will fit (also costly at $350) i have to send them a photo of my paddles and they will let me know if they will fit

I am getting some more stuff from them next year so i am going to wait till then and get it all done at the same time

If you find some that work please post your results i for one am definitely going to get it done as the gtd motor we have in the alltrack loves to rev (variable valve timing helps) just needs another say 30kw and 80nm!

                          • Thanks for that, I have discovered that the GTI or R paddles don’t fit so I will keep looking, will certainly post if I get any joy.

Not long now, getting a towbar, mudflaps and load sill protector fitted by Dealer, does anyone have any experience with the Slimline weathershields and they worth fitting? The accessory list is a bit confusing as they list the rear shield for the Golf only - does that exclude the Alltrack?

Yeah it does front weathershields only for the alltrack for some reason
Load sill protector is a good idea i also got the plastic protector for boot floor as i golf 3 times a week so buggy and bags in and out all the time

The stock carpet floor mats are utter crap don't go for the dealer ones go to ebay for a better one i got really good rubber mats(front and rear) with red trim for $76 delivered

Look in the what accessories did you fit to your mark 7 thread i have posted a few things and lots of other good ideas there
