Group Buy: Aftermarket Bixenon Headlights (WinPower Lamps)

My headlights have completely fail tonight... For a few months my driver side headlights have been suffering from condensation, and recently it was getting worse and worse until a few days ago my driver side low beam stopped working. I opened up and it looks like this (pic 1). So, I got a new set of canbus ballast and new bulbs to replace them (not fitted yet). And tonight my passenger side low beam started flashing then all of a sudden the car shuts off by itself... I tried starting the car back up again but the car just shutters and turns off again. I will be replacing my old headlights tomorrow and chuck this crap in the bin, never will I buy ANYTHING from WINPOWER AGAIN!!! Lesson learned, just because a group buy from another country were successful doesn't mean we will get the same quality in products...

I have 1 complete left-hand side Winpower Headlight (working) complete with lamps and ballast, GTI style with red stripe. Also ballast and lamps (working) from right-hand side. Had someone run into my right hand side, broke the external casing/lens. I’ve replaced with the original VW units. Willing to sell separately.

Thanks for the offer KWS, but I have lost faith with this company and ANY product with their logo on it......

Sorry to hear about the news ! Thats just unacceptable quality, very disappointing.
I hope my Vacar replicas don't suffer the same fate any time soon at least

Trust me mate, you can't get any worse of a product from a company such as them... poor quality, poor communication from seller (just ask veew from this forum), poor after sales if anything happen to you lights.

I've been dealing with a guy named Ed, he doesn't work for Vacar but i've had so many emails from both Ed and Vacar directly from China asking how my lights are going and if i'm happy. I love them, quality is great and they haven't missed a beat. I'm not sure if you've seen the other problems people in the US have had with a "brand" calling themselves "Helix" - Lights fogging up almost straight away after install and consumers being forced to add silica packs and all this extra messing around.

If only VW Australia could have optioned the Bi-Xenons separately for all of us

Yeah I saw that on GOLFMK7 too, it seems to me the headlights are not sealed properly but who knows!?

Has anyone with Winpower bixenon kit experience any issues with flickering low beam? Seem mine becoming increasing frequent. Not if its draining too much power esp with start stop engine or ballast issue or both?
