Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Welcome to VWW's reference thread for VCDS tweaks associated with the mkVII chassis.

    This is a quick-find-facility for actual VDCS tweak instructions related to mk7 vehicles.

    To be effective, this thread needs to be kept clean of other VCDS related material like general discussions and questions. The place for this other material is VWWatercooled's thread:
    The first set of posts in this thread has been reserved for links to VCDS instructions from other forums and from tweaks that have been posted on VWW. This information will be updated periodically. If you have a link that you want to add to these first set of posts, PM the details to me.

    This is a collaborative thread, so forum members are invited to add their own posts giving details of their favourite VCDS tweaks. When posting to this thread, please ensure that the dialogue is kept short and to-the-point. Also, try to avoid duplication if a previous post has already identified the same tweak.

    In addition, and purely as a suggestion, if your post is a pointer to a URL link, consider using the following format:
    Tweak Category: (i.e. Lights, Driver Convenience, Instrumentation, Engine/Transmission/Brakes, etc)
    Tweak Name: (A brief description of what the tweak does)
    URL Link: (use the "URL paste" function provided by VWW)
    Comments-if needed: but keep this short (less is more)

    Finally, please remember that all the usual caveats apply to these tweaks: You are the only person that is liable for any tweaks that you do and neither VWWatercooled, or the authors for the tweaks cited in this thread, or I accept any responsibility for the information provided.

      Fan Speed Indicator - display on "auto" mode
      Window Comfort Opening/Closing with key-fob
      Enable WLAN on Discover Pro MIB1 (thanks Chillout)- note warning message above for Hex5F tweaks
