I hadn't seen these before, they've got a touch of the old school feel about them - a bit like certain Oettingers.

Question for the floor: planning on putting new shoes on my 7.5 R (well overdue, hate the Spielbergs) and looking at black Oz Racing Ultraleggara’s: question is can I get away with 18’s or do I need to stump up the extra $$ for 19’s (both rims and rubber extra $$; also live in the country so better ride on 18’s). Alternative is powder coating the Spielbergs and saving some coin. Thoughts welcome.

You almost certainly can run the 18 ULs for better ride and performance, they have good clearance on brakes as well.

bkpr has chucked 18 BBS SX on his SE and it’s come up great, although by mistake he had a lower offset that worked out just right.

If you’re just after black finish then the Spielbergs actually come up fairly effective with a lick of paint - I prefer gloss to match the R trims but I’ve seen matte work ok - both are buried somewhere in the thread. Just go paint, not a powder coat, it does sciency things to the metal.
