I'll pay that one. It's a functionally light wheel that is well suited to track/drags. I don't rate it as a "show" or "road" wheel. The only way to run it is with a small size rim and a decent chunk of sidewall. Fit for purpose but not a thing of beauty:

Dutch - any pics of the Audi Flat 5 on a Mk7? I can only find them on Mk6’s - it’s pretty old-school....

No argument the road wheels look better.

But there is a certain rawness to RPF1 and chunky wheels that mean business.

You know the R with the RS3 engine transplant's wheels aren't for show..



I suspect the 0-60 best of 1.92 is the evidence.

I am pretty sure (and of all things) there is a white wagon from way back in this thread running them.

Agree they're old school and perhaps there are less sets running around today.

Naturally these are oversized 19-20" versions and the cars been dropped. While lowering will definitely suit them, I think sticking the 18" OEM and some sidewall meat would look better.

Yeah I’m thinking of dropping down to 18’s when it’s time for new tyres, either sticking with 235 width or even going to 245

There’s a set of flat 5’s on eBay that’ll need a refurb, but it’d only get them if they were otherwise straight and no dents or repairs.
