I saw this on a Blue MK7 GTI it was amazing. Wonder how it would look on a black Golf GTD.
Hard to tell if it's just the standard grey rotors (like mine), they should be readily available...

                      • There's a few GTI/Rs that run the slightly meatier 235s even on skinnier wheels; there will be a little stretch on the 225s on x 8.5 - just depends on what look you want and what sort of dollars the various tyres are costing.

The 235s used to be a fair bit less as they were a Falcodore sizing at one point and thus bought in much greater numbers.

I was just going to transfer the 225's across from my stock wheels but if they will look stretched then 235's would be the go as long as they don't scrub out.

Any chance of clearance issues with 235's on stock suspension?

I would probably just do the swap - it just depends on your definition of stretch, and whether you like it or not. Pretty sure some of the 'scene' guys would laugh and say there is no stretch on 225s.

Have a look at: https://tyrestretch.com/ for some guidance.

235s won't cause you any clearance issues on stock suspension - if it's a particularly wide 235 I guess there is the slight chance of fender rub, but that's more likely only once you've gone for a drop.

                              • Alright thanks for that info.

I'm going to fit the 225's from the stock wheels, hopefully I don't even notice the slight stretch.

Can always try some 235's next
