They add another race edge to the wheel.. although the reason the finish looks a little odd is because to the best of my knowledge the ST LM doesn't come in a genuine CL finish.

There are a few wheels in the collection that do, the Ultraleggera is the most obvious, in a 1 x 130 fit for Porsche. The Formula HLT also comes with a fake center cap, which I think is the inspiration for the ST LM set up.. I suspect it's an after market job, and a highly lucrative one at that given these caps are selling (privately) for 400 Euros!
