Also my auto lock on take off is definitely not working and they will have to sort that out when they fit the led number plate lights.

I went into my settings today and checked the auto lock feature and it works. What have you got yours set to upon unlocking - all doors or just the drivers? Mine is set to all doors.

I've got all doors for unlocking. Service will run some test in a few weeks when they fit led number plate lights.

Has anyone with a new GTI or Golf for that matter experienced a rattle like this? http://youtu.be/aINu79FBrcM It happens between 2000 2500rpm and it's driving us crazy.

Service dept tried to fix it before we took delivery but didn't fix it. It's the only disappointing part of our new car. Back to the service department this arv to book it in!

So I've been down to my dealer this afternoon regarding led number plate lights as part of the xenon package. The official VW GTI says that it's included but it seems they are not fitting them to Aus cars. My sales manager wasn't really impressed about that and will be chasing them up.

Either way my dealer will be ordering them and fitting them free of charge, even if VWA don't wanna pay for them. They are a $108 part. So everyone that ordered xenons should be chasing this up so VWA are aware and not screwing us over!

Based on your post I checked the numberplate lights on my 110 TDI Hilighline. No LED number plate lights. had the car for 6 months
now and never thought to check. More to the point I shouldn't have to!. The official VWA Brochure still has the LED numberplate lights listed as part of the Bi-Xenon option. I've downloaded it and saved a copy. Been to my dealer and they are awaiting confirmation from VWA. Everyone who ordered Bi-Xenons should check their numberplate lights and get onto their dealer if all is not in order.

I buy mine Thursday or Friday with xenons and emailed my dealer asking them to check with reference to the brochure. I expect them to honour it and I've given them a week heads up to check with VWA. I'll let you know how I go.

Brighter, whiter, and outstanding cavity protection wait... scratch the last one.

But honestly I had the LEDs on my Polo, and it looks a lot better with the white light and can help the RVC (LED rear lights would be much more helpful though...)

Less power...yeah not a biggy
Matches xenons light - as said whiter
Will last longer than the car

Principle... Paid for them and did not revive them. Could even be a small claims matter if they don't want to cooperate...

On a diffrent note, can is get some direction as to what is a good car wash/wax products?? I have tried some different ones but the shine is never what I want it to be...

I've just got some stuff from carcareproducts. Dodo juice products are expensive but seem pretty good. I got their tropical red mist for shine and dura gloss shampoo.

talk to Car Care Products as we all have different ideas on what the shine on a car should be & how long it should last. Also different products highlight different paint colours.

Suggest you look in the bodywork, trim & detailing section too.

I second carcareproducts as well. The guys there are very knowledgable about different cars/colours and also what I was able (and not able) to do from a skill level point of view. I bought one of their starter packs which contains mats/pads etc and was very good value.
