Anyone else with xenon headlights missing the led number plate lights? Mine sure is!

Auto lock after take off definitely doesn't work.

It didnt come with LED plate lights...
auto lock works once your vehicle reaches 15km/h

my car was built in Jul 2013 didnt work, but one of my friend did some coding with VCDS and fixed it.
pretty handy, but not 100% accurate.

Your gonna love the xenons spikeyboy! They are amazing. The led fog lights throw some light out too, Surprised me! They are whiter then the xenons.

fog light? arent they halogens? used as cornering lights.
or its different on GTI?
on the smaller U of the bi-xennon, there is a LED in it, very very tiny, it wont be on when you stay on 'AUTO', only on '0'

Information dealer gave me last year suggest it did come with led plate lights when you option xenons. They want me to bring down this info and they will see what they can do.

I know auto lock doesn't work until 15km/h is reached. I've owned two other VW's and this one sure don't work!

Yes GTI have led front fogs and they work great

LED fogs are awesome!!!
my highline still uses yellowish halogens.

let us know when you have chased up with dealer.

make sure you get tech to have a look into your auto lock thingy, potential risk!

also did you say you get both U shaped led working in HID? like the one with Golf R?

Spoke to my dealer yesterday, pointing out that the bi-xenon option was supposed to come with LED plate lights, but didn't. As they offer LED plate lights as an option, don't see why it can't be rectified, but he said he'd talk to VWA.

So I've been down to my dealer this afternoon regarding led number plate lights as part of the xenon package. The official VW GTI says that it's included but it seems they are not fitting them to Aus cars. My sales manager wasn't really impressed about that and will be chasing them up.

Either way my dealer will be ordering them and fitting them free of charge, even if VWA don't wanna pay for them. They are a $108 part. So everyone that ordered xenons should be chasing this up so VWA are aware and not screwing us over!

Also my auto lock on take off is definitely not working and they will have to sort that out when they fit the led number plate lights.

That's really good of the dealer to fit the led numbers plate lights. Where does it say that xenons come with them - is it in the brochure or somewhere on the VW website?

Yeah they are pretty good dealer. It says it in spec part of the brochure under the xenon option.
