Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

they quoted us "any 2" for $1480 - tint , paint , interior or rust proofing. or the lot for $1780
got a delivery date of the 20th of September for the car

You need to ask what sort of paint protection is being used and get a price. If it's Opti Coat, it's certainly not a load of crap. $800 for Opti Coat and interior protection on a brand new car is reasonable. "Stage 1" correction though is a bit dubious. He's basically just saying a light, 1 step polish. But still, it's a reasonable price.

I would never spend my money on paint protection. I am yet to read anything that proves it does a thing except make you poorer. When a man with money meets a man with experience.......the man with experience usually leaves with the money and the man with money usually leaves with the experience.

I have only one very minor annoyance with my brand new Golf 7- the radio. I can't seem to have the am presets on the same menu as the fm presets, works in my Passat but not the new Golf. I have to press the radio button to change band. Very minor issue though the rest of the car is brilliant. Has anyone been able to get both am radio presets and fm radio preset on the same presets favoutites menu?Last edited by jdbrown1953; 30-08-2013, 11:55 AM.MY14 Golf VII 110 TDI Highline | DSG 6 spd | Pure White | Bi-Xennon | Sunroof | Driver Assist 2 | Leather |
