Yep, wagons for the win for me too - much more space than the regular hatch, and as a bonus less visibility with LEO & other drivers if you happen to be driving slightly too enthusiastically (classic "sleeper" material, particularly if in "fridge/freezer white").
2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).

Months since I can recall seeing one..true
Direct me if I should be re-directed (tried looking for maybe a more appropriate page). Partner and I were initially looking at the new Polo GTI (DA + Infotainment) but as we're moving to a lease, the cost difference of stretching from $38K to $41-43K isn't as huge anymore. 110TSI Highline R-Line (with DA, Infotainment) is what we're also considering but we'd love a GTI.
Seeing as the MY19 is close to launch, what would the chances be of a GTI DSG (DA + Info) be around the $40-$42K range be? Dreaming?
Cheers!

and GTi_crow was never seen again.. some say he/she kept driving his/her new R and never stopped.. others believe he/she is still out there driving!
Waiting patiently for your update on your new R as well..
Haven’t got out of it since I got it. Unfortunately not really, it rained all first day when I took it for a long run. Didn’t have it second day as I had it opticoated and has basically sat in the garage for the last couple as we have been extremely busy. Need to take more pictures and post - try to do today as it looks like the sun is out. Awesome compared to the GTI and I have still not had a chance to look at all the settings or set up exactly how I want it - partner is still yet to drive it - I may not get it back if she does. Doing a 3 day country run this weekend which I am really looking forward to.
