Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I don't really want to reignite a manual vs DSG debate, but found it curious that so many Mk7 GTI owners had chosen the latter. I think both cars are likely to be a fabulous drive; for me it is more about engagement with the car - I drive 80km per day through varying highway and semi-urban conditions, and my current (dodgem) car is a 2005 Toyota Prius. Needless to say I am quite excited about the GTI! (Could this be the most spectacular improvement ever....?)2014 Mk7 GTI|Pure White|Manual|Tint

Jimi, my condolences. I used to have a 96 Camry, which was a much better drive than the Prius (described by Top Gear "as exciting to drive as catching pneumonia"). I hope our new Golfs give us both much pleasure.2014 Mk7 GTI|Pure White|Manual|Tint

Looks great cox11, both white and CSG look fantastic. You can't notice the Panoramic roof though with those pictures? Is it different in real life? Like with the white car you get the black roof so you can tell.MK7.5 R|Lapiz Blue|DAP|Sunroof|Tint
