Finally picked mine up yesterday - red DSG Comfortline with Driver Assist. Haven't had much of a chance for a decent drive yet unfortunately but I was amazed how quiet it is inside.

Unfortunately like the rest of the process (which included an extra 2 month wait through dealer incompetence), the pickup was painful. I was left waiting for an hour and a half from the appointed time until they were ready to start the process.
Then discovered a sticker in the car and the manual that there was no reversing camera (although testing showed it is there and working).
Definitely the worst experience I've ever had from a dealer I've purchased from.

Stocks definitely appear to be getting quite low for both the 90TSI and Comfortline (without Driver Assist) if you're looking at grabbing a deal within the next few weeks.

Traded my stormtrooper white 110 tdi Highline today for a Tornado Red GTI manual. Took a minor bath but thats the price one pays I guess

Now the excruciating wait, only 2 weeks, but still.

Congrats man, I've only had my TDI for a few weeks but when I saw the GTI my mind started wandering in the same direction.

I must be a lucky one, my dealer has been really good to me.

Well it looks like I'm going to be a first time Dub owner!!

Over the last 2 days I have been in phone contact with Deb from Southern Volkswagen in Reynella, which is a new VW dealer. The customer service over the phone was phenomenal, there was no messing around with pricing as there are with some other dealerships, the first negotiated price she gave me was cheaper than some final negotiated prices from other dealers. I can't quote the price but I can tell you it was cheaper than any dealership in SA and NSW that I visited over the last 6-9 months as I came close (a few times) to buying the car before chickening out due to concerns of potential mechanical issues. Definitely recommend seeing Deb if you're looking at buying a new VW.

Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest. It took a while but the order is now finally placed, this year has flown by so hopefully I won't notice the wait for the factory order to come through!

BTW for those in NSW, I was oh so close to buying from Keyvan at Rockdale VW but once factoring in freight, then stamp duty and rego in SA, it wasn't the price I was looking for. But I can tell you he will also do a great deal for you, plus he's a good bloke to deal with!

Just got mine today! Did some hill and freeway drive! it's great! will take some good photos when it's not raining!

Here are pics from today's delivery. Drove it in the rain tonight, very happy with the xenons and no wiper smear issue for me.
