Nice one, let us know!! Though I wonder since we ordered our cars in 2014 (when the option wasn't listed - and the price was lower) that they won't have it, even though it's built in 2015. Mine was built in Late Jan, and is on a boat which will get to Port Kembla around mid-March.

I made sure the codes in VW ordering system is showing DAP2 when I ordered the car in December, also made sure the contract reflects the DAP2 in detailed. And dealer confirmed both verbal and written that DAP2 with rear cross traffic alert n blind spot monitoring will be built in my car. Let's see what happens.

How did you manage that? The ordering system when I did it around the same time just said a generic 'Driver Assistance Pkg - Manual'

          • I have no idea. Dealer in Canberra showed me the VW ordering system screen that explain what each code means and code that was put into my car order is the DAP2. More than that I have no clue. 4 more weeks to see it.

The way to tell if the car has been built with the new changes is based on the code that appears next to the feature on the dealer factory ordering system:

PZJ (replaces PZM) Comfortline & GTI manual
PZH (replaces PZA) Comfortline, Highline, GTI & GTI Performance DSG
              PZK (replaces PZN) R manual
              PZI (replaces PZB) R DSG

Refer to my screen shots from my order sent through from my dealer

Thanks guys, fairly sure that mine won't have the later DAP despite my car bring a Jan 15 build

If I remember correctly, the package cost for me was around $1000 which is lower than the $1200-$1400 quoted so I'd say I'm out of luck!

Hey mbroad, I'm looking to order a 103 tsi wagon highline too! June delivery seems far away!

Gonna look to do some haggling and an order this weekend. Will order with luxury and DAP pack. Would you mind sharing the kind of discount you were able to get? If you prefer you can PM me.

At the time of ordering 103 TSI drive away price was $36500 I think without any options in December 2014. I asked dealer clearly incase if the drive away price goes down in March at the time of delivery would you reduce the price. They said yes. And they put in contract "if the car price were to be changed due to sale or price reduction then correct price to be passed onto customer".
Now the drive away price came down to 33990 without any options.

My question is would I be able to get a reduction in price now?[emoji15]

                            Surprising they put that in.

I assumed even if they did they would try and get out of it by saying the lower price is due to a VWA contribution towards on-roads, but in your case the reduced price seems greater than just the on-roads.. which would indicate there is a price reduction or sale price in effect.

Good luck -be interesting to see how they handle that.

Just before I ordered I checked with VWA. They said the new DAP2 is only from build week 3 of 2015.
Not to worry. The Golf is a great car, and you have almost all of the new DAP features.

                              • Hello everyone,

I've order a Mk7 GTI via a broker and have arranged a lease for part of the purchase and just about to sign the contract.

My issue is what car will get delivered as the contract has listed VOLKSWAGEN GOLF GTi PERFORMANCE AU MY15 listed for vehicle Security but my original order was a standard manual GTI not the performance version. I called the dealer today and they confirmed it the standard version that will be delivered to me next Monday. I have the VIN number how can I check what version using VIN number? I would accept a Performance model if they have it wrong. non of the VIN check websites offer more detailed information other than Made in Germany, Golf model colour and trim.

if the car is the Performance version it must be the first with manual stick...

What to do, can anyone help identify the version from the VIN number as a Standard GTI or the Performance version?

                                Thanks,

                                Alan
