Hi, I just bought a new Golf R for 55k on road with Dynaudio, sunroof, 3 yrs prepaid servicing and tint. Good price or pretty average deal?

A decent TCU tune makes a DSG much nicer to drive, even without an engine tune (less low rev lugging, more appropriate shift points & lots more). TVS have a good rep for TCU tunes for the DQ381 dsg (7 speed).

Anyone use MST turbo inlet pipe and silicone intake hose on their R?

Yesterday my 2017 Golf R spluttered on start and errors all over the dash.

I was told at service to change the battery... now I need to find one in SE Melbourne.

Any suggestions on where to get a well priced replacement or I’ll end up going to Volkspower in Burwood.

Yes, it works as expected. Supposedly (according to independent flow tests) its the best flowing combination there is.



Pair it with the R600 and you are on to a winner



Also consider the turbo muffler delete to complete the package.

thanks for your reply sharkie, I ended up going forge hose and CTS tip as the mst tip/hose were out of stock at the stores I was looking at. I have a k and n filter as well which I’ll install tomorrow. Did you find much of difference with your set up?

I've just noticed on the VW website under offers they have all the Golf models as run out models, does that mean runouts on MY20 or MK7.5? Been bouncing back and forth between cars for a while and wondering what a good price for an R is these days?

My local dealer has a final edition in the blue listed as a demo with 28km asking 62k. To me well it's a demo why am I paying 62k (even though its only 28km on odo) wondering what a target price for this could be?

I doubt anyone has come close to that for a final edition. High 50's to 60k is more realistic.

Didnt think there was much difference between final ed and normal mk 7.5? Colour options are only $300. I paid 55k for mine 2 months ago.
