Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Don't see why resume would work when the system is set to OFF, it doesn't in my Mk5 Golf
This is taken from VW website:
"The first step is prepping the cruise control system; to do this, simply press the on/off button that resembles a mini speedometer icon. Now, you’re ready to set your preferred speed. Press the “SET” button to select a cruise speed. Before you initiate the system, be sure you’re in a safe environment, such as an open highway. Avoid activating the system in heavy traffic or harsh weather. Modifying your preset cruise speed is simple. Press the “+” or “-” button to increase or decrease speed by 1 mile per hour. When you’re finished using the system, apply the brakes or push the “CNL” button to “cancel.” Hit the “RES,” or “resume” button to reactivate the system when you’re ready to use it again."Last edited by sebas_thefish; 13-03-2018, 08:45 PM.

Hi All,
Considering a white R Wolfsberg Wagon with Sunroof, dealer demo (1400km). Any thoughts on what a decent price in Queensland should be? It's 17 build but MY18.
Thanks,

Thanks for the input guys, the particular Wolfy is supposedly the managers personal car and not generally used for demo, haven't looked it over yet but the main attraction for me is it has the features I want in a colour that's not normally available in the Golf (Oryx White pearl). Similarly specced R Wagon would be $69k...MY18 Passat Alltrack Wolfsberg (white) darkest legal tint (SOLD), 2014 Golf 110 TDI Highline (sold after DM Flywheel issues), now 2021 RAV4 Cruiser Hybrid, 2020 C-HR Koba Hybrid

Regardless if it’s the car you want in the right spec at the right price, go for your life! I don’t think you’d regret it at all.

From all the interactions I had with dealers, there’s no way that thing is being thrashed without a person from the dealership knowing about it. But it’s always a concern I guess.
Heck, half the dealers I went into didn’t even want to talk price!
So I bought mine interstate, via email in less time than it took to drive to the local dealer, and for plenty less.
I reckon you hit up the enquiry in Carsales, but name your price or let them know your going to buy, all my enquiries went straight to the manager, and then they hand you off to the sales rep to get it sorted.
Also, brokers had zero capacity to get a Golf R at better than I could get online.
