Strange so many have been spotted on the road in Australia already, it's benn released overseas, but definitely not here, they are saying April/May at this stage still.

I'm guessing these would be HQ cars for training and media, I don't know the NSW rego system but that rego is similar to the WSD25L stuck on the GTI that Motor magazine had in their fleet recently.

And no this doesn't mean I'm hung up on tiny details. :p

This appears to be another VGA registered vehicle as their number plates are all Euro beginning with WSD. Another forum member recently spotted a blue R with almost the same number - refer http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...read-photo.jpg

And I saw a silver one yesterday in mosman. Inside I noticed it has a stop/ start button, R badging on the front seats, 4 motion. Looks good and similar license plate number as the others.

Nice work Sekkas: I think $10k less is a bit optimistic (compared to "base' S3 @ $60k + ORC), smart money seems be forecasting $52-$55k + ORC pretty well specced

What was the price of the Golf mr6 R? Wasn't it around the $50k, but then you had to tick a few options to bring it up to spec, which got it up towards the mid $60k for a well spec vehicle.

So I would say, their best bet is to fully load the car, and a price tag of no greater than $55k.

I paid 55k for a fully loaded MK7 GTI. If you could get a fully loaded R for 1 or 2k (or even under 60k) more i would be pretty annoyed at myself and would most likely cancel my order and try and get an R!
