Fortunately the client base does hold more I interest, and while the 458 Italia isn't bad, I always like to sneak a look at a the couple of GTIs that rock up.. and while I haven't seen it in a long time there was a mint R32 that always had me perving.

18" alloys, bi-xenons, LED front and rear lights, panoramic sunroof, alarm, park assist, folding side mirrors, reversing camera, ambiance lighting (including sill protectors that light up - is that a joke?).
Haven't done the calculations, but adding a pana roof and bi-xeons to GTI alone would go close or more?

All the accountants I know drive BMWs. It's my fellow engineers who drive boring cars.
Some look at a VW and see bland. I see well proportioned, clean lines, svelte design. Most people I know in the design industry agree (industrial designers,, architect's, my fellow engineers etc). Although I have to say, the glory days for VW design are with the split screen kombi, early beetles, and the Karmann Ghia.
Each to their own.

Of course there is the new Kia Pro Cee'd (stupid name), the same 1600cc engine as the veloster. As Kia spokesman said the brand was “investigating getting the car at the earliest possible opportunity”.
“There's no doubt the Pro-Cee'd would provide a hero car for Australia”
A hero car? Hmmm, maybe I should wait a bit longer
