  • MK 7 TSI 2017 Variant 110 automatic gearbox maintenance

Sorry for the faffing about but I've been researching and in Australia, with VW, it's not easy. This is the second time I've made a mistake with purchasing parts. I have a 2017 TSI 1.4 with the codes SMQ and D7F. I purchased a DSG maintenance kit (5 litres fluid plus gaskets and filter) and it's not correct. If I am on the right track, my DSG has two parts - the gearbox and the Mechtronics. Some say they are not to be serviced. Some say they should be. The process seems fiddly and I'd definitely be wanting it up on a hoist to do myself. So my question is - does it need servicing (78,000 K) and do you do it yourself?
