Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Dont think you can set up a new one on a blank card.as you cant copy the hidden files.

You have to buy a S/H one or a new one from Stealer as files are normally hidden and if used properly just stay on it.

A bit unsure in what you are asking here. Have you wiped your mapping data from the SD card? Or have you stuffed the SD card?
If it is the map data you seek then this link is the current version for an early MK7 golf Discover media (SD card) V1 - https://vw-maps-cdn.lighthouselabs.e...IBS2_ROW_NT.7z
Volkswagen have not released anything post 2020.
If it is the card that needs replacing than purchase one from the many online market places with the part number, does not matter what maps are on it as the link I have provided can over write whatever is on it.

        Hi.
I'm really not sure if I can help - but over the many years that others have visited my home, I have collected lots of "stuff". Amongst the historic relics from these visits - I have found the SATNAV SSD card below:

Now, I have absolutely no memory of how I obtained this SSD card or the original VW cover in the picture, And I don't even know if the VW cover and the SSD card are from the same source.

However, I note that the VW cover says "V1" but the SSD card says "V3" (both are highlighted in my picture).

If anyone can place the part number written on the SSD card (i.e. 5Q0 919 866 R) - maybe this will shed more light on whether this item is suitable.

        Don
Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the wider expertise of other forum members! Thank you.
