Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Fuel Pressure Control Fault - 2017 Golf R Wolfsburg

    Hi all

Wonder if anyone has any experience with this?

On Friday my Golf R Wolfsburg went into limp mode due to a fuel pressure issue. It's only done about 31,500 kms.

Did not extended warranty unfortunately so the 3 year warranty lapsed in Feb/March 2021 but I'm wondering if something like this might be looked upon favorably at VW Australia for what they'd call a 'goodwill' repair?

Already had a goodwill repair last year due to coolant leaks in the same vehicle.

    Anyone have any advice?

If your car has only been worked on by an official VW dealer you have a better chance of getting a good will contribution, but the only way to find out for sure is to ask.
