Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Bi-Xenon conversion

    Hi,

I'm doing the convention from halogen to Bi-Xenon and I ordered the Kufatec adaptor. So far no problems until I realised that the only place to pass the cables from the engine bay into the cabin is through a grommet in the driver's side and doing that so I'll need to extend the original cables (the cables are about 1m shorter to reach the BCM).

Does anyone have done this upgrade or know about the existence of grommet around the passenger side? I'm trying to avoid to cut the adaptor.

    Cheers,

    Guto.

    More to come...

Im certain that there is a grommet on the passenger side behind where the battery is fitted where the wiring loom for the ECU goes through.
