  • Wagon resonator delete with Helmholtz chamber

Has anyone found an Australian supplier for an R Wagon resonator delete with the nifty Hemholtz anti-drone chamber?

Could buy from the UK but shipping a nightmare.

Mk 7 R Wagon Wolfsburg. APR Stage 1. Removable towbar.

I havent seen any available here with the helmholtz, but an exhaust shop could make you one.

There are calculators online. I remember a spreadsheet which had different engines listed (4 cylinder, 6 cylinder etc) and then what volume helmholtz you needed to reduce drone at specific RPM. I was going to get 2x of them fitted to my Lexus IS-F V8 a few years back, as after fitting an aftermarket exhaust, i had terrible drone at about 2,000rpm. In the end I decided to swap the rear mufflers for a larger Xforce ones with the Varex motors which managed to greatly reduce the drone so I never ended up going doing the helmholtz path.
